Meet Susan Montanaro
​Life is hard. I guide individuals, couples and families toward a kinder, happier, and more manageable life. My approach is strengths-based, as we work together to develop solutions that guide you back toward yourself with tools that support everyday living. These challenges can often include depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, relational trauma, couples counseling, and general life crisis. My goal is to help you set your own goals, create boundaries, and sort through your emotional obstacles in order to manage life successfully.
The way we build physical muscle is similar to the way we build emotional strength, one session at a time. We will create new practices to help you gain confidence, and feel empowered for you to have a more meaningful life. When we heal ourselves from the inside out, we transform the way we show up in the world.
I utilize a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a diverse range of therapeutic methods tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, couple and family I work with. Drawing from my expertise, I find it useful to offer modalities such as behavioral, cognitive, interpersonal, as well as supportive psychotherapy, customizing my approach to the unique needs of each client in my practice. By combining these evidence-based approaches, I strive to create a therapeutic experience that is comprehensive, empathetic, and personalized to support my clients on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
